Is WaveCraft free?
Yes. Every tool is free, with no account, no watermark and no limit on file size other than your device’s memory.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding, processing and encoding all happen in your browser. You can switch off your connection after the page loads and keep working.
Which formats can I open and save?
You can open MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus and the soundtrack of MP4, WebM and MOV videos. You can save MP3 from 96 to 320 kbps, or WAV at 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit float.
Does slowing a song change its pitch?
Only if you want it to. Keep original pitch uses time-stretching so the key stays put; turn it off for the classic slowed sound, where pitch drops with the speed like a record.
How clean is the vocal remover?
It removes what is mixed in the centre, which is usually the lead vocal, and keeps bass and drums. Reverb on the voice and centred instruments can leave traces. It needs a stereo file.
What is the difference between Simple, Standard and Pro?
They are the same tools with more or fewer controls on screen. Simple shows presets and one slider, Standard every main control, Pro every parameter plus meters, loop and export settings.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any recent browser. Long files need memory, so a phone may struggle with an hour-long recording that a laptop handles easily.
